Originally from Ohio, Rev. Jeremy is a fourth-generation pastor and feels that the church is “in his blood.” He became pastor at Salem in December 2019, and our congregation has been enriched by his preaching, his heart for people, and his love of laughter. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Christian Education and Music, as well as a Master of Divinity. When not serving our church, Rev. Jeremy enjoys reading, history, New Wave cinema, travel, searching for the perfect bourbon, and avoiding lima beans at all cost.
Pastor John Mindrup

You will never find a pastor with a more tender heart than Pastor John. Having grown up here at Salem, John eventually pursued the UCC course that led to licensed ministry. Pastor John has now been on staff at Salem for 16 years and heads up our visitation program, as well as assisting Rev. Jeremy in other ways. He recently retired from his full-time work with the City of Alhambra after 34 years, and he and his wife Merilee are enjoying their children and grandchildren in his retirement. You can often find Pastor John working in his garden, writing, enjoying the outdoors, or playing a practical joke on someone in the office.
Kerri Reilson

Every team needs that one person that is the glue holding everything together, and our Office Coordinator Kerri is exactly that. After a 30-year career as an executive secretary at Anheuser-Busch, Kerri joined the Salem team, and she keeps all of us on the right track. Kerri organizes and coordinates all of the communication and other items that flow through the church office. When she’s not holding things together at Salem, she loves floating in her pool, working in her garden, but most of all spending time with her husband, Todd, their two sons and their wives, and her precious little granddaughters.

Our lively and varied music program is led by Dawn. With a long history of teaching, Dawn brings her skills not only to the organ and piano but also to working with all ages of musicians in our church – literally from 3 to 93! Dawn continues to do some teaching in our local school system, and her downtime consists of spending time with her family and working with her husband Greg on their grain and livestock farm.
Rebecca Resillez

Our youth director Becca so loved her experiences as a student at Salem that she wanted to give herself to leading our youth! Becca’s heart for teens is obvious as she organizes their events, teaches them about Jesus, and helps them develop a heart for serving others through their annual mission trips. Becca is married to the love of her life, Jeremy, better known as “Tater” to most of us, and is the proud mama of their first little girl. She continues her youth work outside of Salem by teaching in the Highland School System.
Ron Mindrup
Sound Technician

No church can operate without audio-visual ministries, and you can find Ron at our sound booth during every service making sure everyone can see and hear what’s going on. Ron worked in the dairy industry for many years before joining us at Salem. Along with his wife, Mindy, he loves spending time with his family, and he enjoys collecting knives, baseball cards, belt buckles, and milk bottles.

With a keen mind for accounting, Lisa brings her education and her experience working for the Edwardsville School District to our financial team at Salem. Lisa is thankful that she can use her skills to serve the Lord and our church. In her spare time, she loves gardening, reading, procrastinating, traveling, and begging Rev. Jeremy to turn in his expense reports on time.
